Tokyo. It seems like no one sleeps there. Considering it was 10PM on a Saturday night, no, few did sleep. Highschoolers were out partying or just hanging out. Karaoke bars were packed, and love hotels were getting a "surprising" rise in room rentals. But hey, to each their own. That's what Haruka Akagawa thought as she saw yet another couple go into the Lovely Desire hotel. She sat across the street from it, drinking a can of soda.

She was alone, at least on that bench. People walked past her, none talking to her. That's fine. Haruka was people watching. She was having a good time with it too, small smiles creeping on her face behind the can she held. There were bald businessmen crying, teenagers trying to look cool in front of their partners, and, most importantly, drunk people. They made people watching hilarious. Haruka spat out half of her drink as she watched a shirtless guy run down the street with about five people chasing him. That was something she expected to see in the back country or on TV. She never once thought she'd see something that ridiculous with her own eyes.

Unfortunately, she ended up spitting out all that was left of her drink. She sighed and reached into the plastic bag beside her. She dug for a few seconds, trying to find the next can. Unfortunately, that was her last can. "Hmph..." Haruka pouted and grabbed her bag. She found a trash bin, tossed it in with a "swish," and continued back to her apartment. She ended up passing the shirtless guy as he ran down her side of the sidewalk, still being chased. She burst out laughing and continued to as she walked.

This was a good night for her. She weaved with her steps, a sign of happiness for her. Unfortunately, this weaving caused a problem on a side-street leading to her apartment. She was about a block away and she ended up bumping into some guy with a mohawk—an honest-to-god mohawk—and his posse. "Bitch, watch where you're going." The guy was shorter than Haruka, but his mohawk gave him about an extra foot of height. He, and his two associates, were wearing black leather jackets with spikes on the shoulders. Each had various piercings too, and they looked like they came right out of a manga.

"Sorry, man." Haruka tried to continue walking while apologizing whole-heartedly... But the guy with the green mohawk didn't like that. Neither did blue or orange—his "associates." "Don't just walk away from me!" Haruka turned around, and began walking backwards, an eyebrow raised. "Dude... I said sorry. There's, like, not much else I can do."

"Don't talk to the Boss like that!" "Yeah, show him some respect!" Haruka smiled a bit. "What? I'm showing you guys just as much respect as you guys are showing your hair." Haruka tried to continue walking, but... She backed into something. She turned around to see some guy about half a foot taller than her and about a hundred pounds heavier. And it looked like muscle. She swallowed. "I suggest you apologize to the Boss." Haruka turned to the guy with the green mohawk. "I'm very sorry. I wasn't watching where I was going, and I ended up bumping into you. I didn't mean to." She even bowed slightly.

"Hmm... I think that'll wo—" Green's mohawk shifted. It actually tensed up and looked more solid. "Wait. You're one of them. Hagawa, hold our friend here." Haruka didn't have a chance to ask what he meant before two massive hands clenched down on her shoulders. "Hey, hands off, bub. You're hurting me." "You're a witch, bitch. A little pain is more than something like you deserves." Blue drew a knife, a tiny switchblade. "Yeah, that's why we gotta show you more pain." Orange pulled out a set of brass knuckles and slid them over. "..." Haruka was about to scream for help when a shadow came rushing towards her.

Her eyes gleamed. Someone was going to rescue her. She couldn't get out of this... And then her face went blank. The shirtless drunkard screamed past the group, not stopping. "Tonight is just a bad night..." Haruka sighed as the leather-clad gang closed in on her...

No One Sleeps in Tokyo [PRIVATE (ask to join)] Minami2_zps4d5bbff0

Some people sleep in Tokyo.  Like that homeless guy on ju-ichi street, he sleeps.  In a box!  Or that guy on Sakura Avenue.  Though he might be dead, someone might want to check him.  Plenty of people slept in Tokyo, but none were as Vampiric, or awake, as Minami.  After all, can't be awake when you're asleep.  This small example of why powered humans aren't a bad thing was just skipping down the streets of Tokyo.  Why skipping?  Well it was faster than walking and more fun than running.  Her eyes actually had green contacts in.  This girl, a native to Tokyo, knew people.  She was avoiding going home, lest she risk her parents catching her with red eyes.  She didn't know how to tell them and didn't want them to know until she had an idea.  So she stayed at a 5 star hotel.  Hey she's loaded, she can do that.  She wore a skirt and a cute top that looked like a school uniform meets military uniform.  She was all too happy, mainly due in part that she just heard some great music at a nearby concert.  She didn't listen to music all the time, but every so often it was a great way to elevate the mood.

She was in THAT part of town sadly.  It was inbetween where the concert was held and her hotel.  The people here were really weird.  At one point a shirtless guy was running for his life from 5 other dudes.  That was strange.  People here actually had mohawks too, the ridiculous kind.  It was like gang territory if all the gang members were all losers.  They thought they were cool but it'd make Minami giggle, or would if they didn't have a chance of attacking Minami.  Being losers might make them all the more willing to try unholy things, and Minami was painfully aware of it.  She rubbed her neck as she walked.  She was sore and a bit bruised all over.  Not too long ago she had almost died to a crazed W.I.N.A, a wire integrated neurotic asshole.  But he was more a loser than these losers.  Still, she was basically a vampire.  When she was in the dark she healed faster.   She worried about Kirino, she was stronger but lacked the ability to regenerate.  She was probably still bedridden, though she was tough so even with her wounds she might be able to walk around by now.

As she rubbed her neck she overheard something.  The word witch.  Seriously witch?  These lame'os better be dealing with someone who's powers function like a fictional representation of a witch or she was gonna give them a firm...talking to.    Minami poked her head around a corner and saw a couple of, yep, mohawked losers being rough with some girl.  Yep, that wasn't good.  People feared those who had powers.  Hearing that blip of conversation made her certain this was what it was.  Minami jumped out.  "HEY, no fighting.  You'll get blood on your...mohawks."  She almost slapped herself in the face.  Really?  THAT was the reason.  "And it's rather uncouth to bring harm to a lady.  I don't think the ladies will be knocking down your doors if they saw you doing this...or maybe they would, but it'd be to kill you."  She said, maybe not the most eloquent but hey, it's the truth.  They were looking at her like she was crazy.  "Get out of here bitch, we're here to hurt the witch,"

Well played Dr. Seuss.  Well played.  "Wait, hold on a second.  How do you know she is a witch?  Is she made of wood?  Does she weigh as much as a duck?  Did you build a bridge out of her?"  Well those WERE things people did to test witches, save building a bridge out of them.  It can also be done with stone.  And did his hair turn dark green or was she seeing things?  She knew if these were normal humans, she had one advantage.  She was a a female version of the hulk.  Not really but with how she accidentally sent people through walls she sometimes felt like it.  She was hoping another person would come save the girl though.  Minami was stalling.

Haruka saw the person come out of the shadows. Another savior? Nope, just... a little girl. Haruka's hopes dropped once more as her "savior" ended up being... That thing. She sighed, shook her head, and just watched the poor thing. Although, she did snicker at her introduction's vocal portion. She wasn't entirely funny, but it was enough to lighten the situation. And then she continued on. Haruka's face lightened, and she actually smiled a bit. Okay, this girl was comic relief. She could stand that for now.

The gang members were just as stuck as Haruka, although they didn't share Haruka's sense of humor. A pity, really. But when Haruka was compared to wood, a duck, and bricks... She was downright confused—and so were her captors. "Are... are you calling me fat?" Haruka asked with an entirely curious tone. She had no idea what the girl was saying. Was she one of those 'chuunibyou' people? "What the fuck is she saying?" "No idea." "Dunno." "..."

"Scram, pipsqueak." Green pulled out a metal pipe and pointed it at Minami. "Got no business with you. Just the witch." Haruka sighed and stared at the leader with the upmost look of disgust and boredom. "Dude... You can stop calling me a witch. I can't put a spell on you or anything..." "Shut up you witch. Don't believe her lies, she is one. I can feel it." His mohawk stiffened again. And thankfully, that wasn't a euphemism.

"Wait... you're," Green turned to Minami, "a witch too... Genji, take care of the new one." Orange smiled, and took a step towards Minami. His smile was like a shark right before it was about to dig into a tasty seal. Except this shark looked like some 90s reject. Blue and Green, however, turned to Haruka and began to walk towards her. "Dude, why the hell are you calling me a witch? You've got this all, like, wrong." "You're one of them—those humans with the superpowers. A freak. And we don't like freaks."

"Then how you live with yourselves is a mystery to me..." Green slapped Haruka across the face hard enough to split her lip. "Shut up," Green snarled. Orange reached out towards Minami with one hand, as if to grab her throat. His smile widened, and one of his eyes went cockeyed. Haruka just glared at Green, and she began to try to find the knife that was in her pocket...

The girl seemed to make the mistake that Minami was calling her fat. Kinda hard of an accusation to make when she was pretty skinny looking honestly. Minami shrugged. "Maybe after a couple thousand burgers." She paid no mind to the thugs, in fact she kinda ignored their incessant prattle. Until the metal pipe was pointed at her. "A lead pipe? What is this, the 20's?" She tilted her head a bit, she was sorta confused as to why people whom had easy access to kitchen utensils would be using a pipe. Did...did they not use utensils? "Ew." She just pictured them eating with their hands. That poor poor food. She also wondered seriously why he was calling the girl a witch. Did she turn him into a newt? What, he could have gotten better. Did she curse... "Did...did she curse you with those stupid haircuts? Yeah I guess I'd be mad about that too huh." She tilted her head a bit wondering if that was it. Maybe hair fashion wasn't dying, but they were being cursed. However then they decided to call Minami a witch.

"Hey don't look at me, I'd never curse the world with hair like that!" Minami had been thinking. The green one had a teensy tiny bit of power possibly, if he could tell they had powers. However, basically they were human thugs. If she played her cards right they couldn't catch her. She might not win a straight fight, since they might pummel her before she can land a single punch, but they certainly shouldn't be able to catch her. She began to zone out what was happening to the girl and focused on herself. The 90's reject was reaching out to grab her. Yeah how about no. "Hey, don't reach out at me with that NOM!" With a shout of nom she bit down on the thug's outstretched hand. Really hard. She wasn't trying to draw blood to feed, so the mild numbing that dimmed the pain wasn't a thing. Two fangs just practically went THROUGH his hand. She shook her head a bit just to emphasize and then hopped backwards.

"Vampire, not witch, Vampire. And by the way." Minami reached up and removed her contacts. Her bright red almost glowing eyes revealed. "You know you're gonna turn into one now right?" The look on orange's face was priceless. With her red eyes showing, and the fangs, that statement turned him so pale he might be a vampire. "Wh-what? You freak, what did you do to me?" Was he...beginning to hyperventilate. Minami pulled a nail file out of her bag and began to file her nails. "Ohhh yeah, you're gonna be all like 'I want blood' and I'm gonna be like 'join me in the hunt'." After a little more freaking out Minami burst into laughter. "Oh my god, you should have seen the look on your face! You were so scared." Minami was giggling her cute little butt off. "Yeah just put on a bandaid and you'll be your same stupid haircut self. Even if I could turn people into vampires, doing it without their permission just seems downright rude and improper." "You little shit!" He jumped at her but she had so much distance reflexes weren't needed. She just ran to the side.

She ran as orange chased her. She went in a big circle, coming back around as orange tried to cut her off, but she ducked under his obvious grab and just ran backwards as she yelled back to him. "Seriously it is rude to chase ladies." She got distracted for a moment as she tried to keep their attention though. Apparently orange ended up right behind her after quite a bit of running. As she turned around she accidentally vampiric elbowed his nose and knocked him back. "There has got to be a better way to do this." Still stalling was the best course of action, she had a feeling if she stalled long enough someone else would come along and make life way easier. "Seriously Genji? Why must we do this. The fighting, the biting. Why can't we settle this over a nice cup of tea?" The orange one came closer and suddenly lunged forward. Minami let out an eep and stuck her fist out and punched him clear in the nose, which sent him stumbling back even further. "Guess not."

For some, it was time to head back home and relax. For others, it was time to go to bed. For Akahana, the night had just begun! Finally, it was the weekend and she could do whatever the hell she wanted. Of course, if she got a call while out, she'd... Well, she'd ignore it and say she lost her phone or something. It's not like they'd fire her; that'd be stupid. Either way, the air was clear and cool, even in this nasty downtown area filled with freaks and weirdos. She was walking along in the street and saw a man being chased by a group of people. Why the hell was his shirt off? Must have been drunk. What a party! Too bad they weren't the type of people that she enjoyed hanging out with.

Akahana walked through the streets with a half empty bottle of some sort of cherry flavored alcohol in hand. She wasn't drunk. She wasn't even really buzzed at the moment. It was her first bottle and she had a decent tolerance, at least that's what she thought. Akahana had long brown hair, deep ocean blue eyes, and was wearing blue jeans, a blue sweatshirt, and some sneakers. She wasn't up for a real "party" right now, but just a fun time out on the town. As she turned a corner, apparently that fun was going to find her. She blinked a few times as she just watched these scene unfold in front of her. It was the most entertaining thing she had seen throughout the entire night so far... so far.

    "Hehehehehehehe... Witch..."

The young one with pink hair was a little fiesty and damn the sass that was coming out of her mouth! Akahana couldn't help but laugh. When she actually had the guts to bite down on the man's hand, Akahana's eyes widened with a bit of excitement, but that changed. "Vampire?" Akahana thought and decided to pay a little more attention to what was going on. She barely noticed the other woman being harassed on the other side of the pink haired one. Seeing a bit of blood on the other woman's lips, Akahana narrowed her eyes and took a few steps forward. Sliding a hand into her pocket, she started to think very carefully on how she was going to handle this situation. Well, she thought for a second.

"Hey." Akahana called out to the four moronic males on the street. The four turned toward her and Green immediately got annoyed. "Before you decide to say anything..." Akahana held up her hand with the bottle in it as a warning for him to stop right there, "You see that wall..." Akahana walked over to a concrete wall. It was a railing for some concrete stairs. "Watch this..." Akahana tossed her bottle into her left hand and took a drink. At the same time, she raised her hand and with a small amount of concentrated energy focused at the end of her fist, she punched the wall at what would have seemed like normal force. The hit shook the wall and ground a bit, but nothing else seemed to happen.

"See..." Akahana smiled after swallowing her drink. "See... what? Ya hurt yourself doing that, idiot?" Green raised an eyebrow, but then his eyes widened and he pointed the pipe at Akahana, "S-She's a witch too man! She's a witch too! They're all witches!" It was at that moment that the wall finally broke and crumbled into about ten pieces onto the floor. Green was stuck for a moment. Akahana just continued staring at him. She was hoping not to have to actually fight any of these kids. She'd end up killing them, but she wasn't going to sit back and allow the weirdos to mess with these girls. "So... You... still wanna fight?" Akahana asked curiously, tilting her head slightly to the side.

Haruka was liking the little one. She had Sass—with a capital S. She was holding her own verbally against these brutes... And then she bit the guy that was trying to grab her. You go girl. Haruka held back saying that, but her smile widened. She watched as he tried to shake her off, but it didn't work. And then... vampire? Wait... What? Witches, vampires... what's next, Superman? Halloween isn't until months away, dammit.

And then, a pretty lady came forward... Her eyes really were the prettiest thing about her. Haruka thought she couldn't be older than 22... and then Haruka noticed her chest. Her face darkened a bit in jealousy—Haruka was, unfortunately, not that gifted in a certain area. "Again with the witch thing! I'm no—" As she said that, the wall crumbled. Green's hair... exploded. The energy this woman had was enough to cause his hair to splinter. Now bald as a bowling ball, Green looked terrified.

Haruka... Well, Haruka's eyes were wide and practically glowing. Her mouth was just as open. "Dude..." Green looked to Orange, who was in pain and on the floor. He tried to look to Blue, but Blue was already running down the street away from the group. He looked up at Yellow. "Let's get out of here." Yellow nodded and released Haruka. Haruka immediately adjusted her jacket, then glared up at Yellow. "We'll get you for this!" Orange stood up and darted away, following his boss. Yellow bowed, then briskly walked out.

Haruka turned to Akahana, still a little stuck. "That was awesome." That was about all she could say for a moment. "Oh... Thank you for the help. I could've handled them though," Haruka finally pulled out her knife and flashed it to Akahana and Minami before stowing back in her pocket. "And you..." Haruka turned to Minami. "I had to keep myself from busting out laughing. You really showed them..."

A lightbulb came up in Haruka's head and she walked closer to Minami. "Oh, the vampire thing... That true? And..." Now Haruka turned to Akahana. "The hell were they talking about with the 'witch' thing? I'm not a witch... At least I don't remember being one."

As Minami accidentally pummeled her foe, another girl stepped into the fray. It was just as well. Minami wasn't a good fighter, though somehow she was causing damage by accident. Minami looked over. The girl called attention to herself so it obviously wasn't a blunder that she got their attention. In her hand was a bottle of something. Minami watched, and as the girl took a swig of whatever was in said bottle she punched a wall. Nothing happened. "Hey I can do that too!" She said as she watched the girl punch, but after a few moments, when the green one questioned her sanity, the wall crumbled. "...I can't do that." Actually she might be able to. She knew she was able to dent a wall, but causing one to crumble might have been a little out of her League. It wasn't long before they all fell back. She giggled like crazy as they ran off. "There's a hair stylist in that direction." Minami dusted herself off. She hoped she didn't get any of their hair on her clothes, they'd change colors with that much coloring in the wash.

She was about to merrily skip away when the girl who was "saved" turned and spoke to her. Minami turned around and a giant question mark practically popped up over her head. "What that? It wasn't that great. They were kinda asking for it with hair like that." Seriously, how could one not successfully sass. As she finished her response, the girl came up to her. "Umm...can I help you?" She was being looked at a little strangely. That's when the girl asked if the vampire thing was true. "Oh that's right!" Minami reached into her pocket and got another pair of color contacts, placing them on her eyes rather quickly. She had practiced at home in case of emergency. Once on, her eyes looked like her old natural green color. "Sorta." She finally responded to the question. "If I don't drink blood I die, but I don't turn people into vampires or make people do my bidding or anything. Just take a drink, and everyone can go on with their lives." Minami looked the girl up and down. She couldn't sense anything, but she could feel something. "Noooooooormally it's a secret, but you looked like you needed help. And besides, who'd believe walking hair dye dispensers anyway?" Seriously, people with sharp canine's weren't uncommon, and the contacts she used were fairly hard to knock off. Those guys pull the "witch" card and...well if someone DID believe them her parents probably wouldn't and they have more than enough money to get prominent people to discredit them. She looked in the direction the guys fled in. "Jerk. The ass doesn't even realize that if he can so easily tell we're "different" that he's "different" too."

Minami sighed. She was always less ditsy when legitimately annoyed. Though this girl didn't seem to know. Minami could actually smell it on her, and ever so slightly on the head of those thugs too. Rather she did, now all she smells is hair dye. Minami scratched the back of her head. The question wasn't directed at her so she didn't go to answer it. Instead she waited for an opportunity. "My name is Minami Shimada." She was in her hometown so they might know of her family, but she stopped caring. She felt more at home in the academy so if someone was getting on her good side because she has money she won't be around long anyway. Still, she knew one thing had gone wrong. She needed to learn how to handle herself, and while she did go out of her comfort zone there, that wasn't exactly the practice she intended.

Well that was done. The moronic thugs with the horrible sense of style finally ran off to leave these young women alone. Akahana was shocked when the one with the short brown hair talked to her like she had done something cool, but she quickly realized as the conversation continued on that the brown haired one had no idea she had abilities of her own. Well shit. Akahana took in a deep breath and sighed it out in relief. Akahana watched the two girls in silence for a while. She took no part in the conversation and sort of stared when she was addressed. Her mind was going through a few things right now. For one, she couldn't remember the Alpha Protocol's policy on finding Fallen on the street. Was she to bring them in? She tried to remember her family's policy as well, but couldn't at the moment. There was something else bothering her and it was about the pink haired girl.

Luckily that question was answered when the brown haired girl asked about the vampire statement. Akahana just sighed in relief and decided to join the conversation when the brown haired girl turned to her. "He wasn't wrong." Akahana said and crossed her arms along her chest, "You're not a witch, no, but you are what the world currently knows as a Fallen, a powered human being, a mutant, a superhero, a god... Whatever you want to call it. Right now, we're known as Fallen to those who don't believe the government's cover-up stories. Luckily the conspiracy behind our kind has allowed many of us to stay hidden and away from psychotic morons like the one's we just faced. You..." Akahana motioned toward the brown haired girl, "Have innate ability that you likely haven't discovered yet... And both of you..." Akahana looked seriously at them both, "Need to keep yourself hidden."

"This world does not accept us yet and there are many who would wipe us out. If you go catching attention, they'll find you and it will not be a good time. I'm sure you've seen all those movies about genetic testing, forced experimentation, and all that jazz..." Akahana waved her hand around as if it was nothing, though there was an underlying tone of her knowing exactly what she was talking about, "It's not something you want to go through." She raised her arms above her head and stretched. It was then that Minami introduced herself. Akahana placed a hand on her hip and smiled. "Ah, so you're the Shimada's daughter, huh? Aren't you enrolled at Hephaestus already?" Akahana asked with a friendly smile, "I'm Akahana Reikozuki, but call me Reika. Always... Reika." It was just as possible for these two to have recognized Akahana's family name as well. "Why are ya'll out here?"

"Seriously..." Haruka had to keep from laughing more as the pink-haired girl spoke more and more. This girl didn't look too old, but she definitely wasn't like a middle schooler or something. Being saved by a middle schooler. That would've been horrible for her reputation. Being saved by a vampire though... That was badass. "Woah... That's cool. Don't worry, I won't tell anyone." Haruka shook her head. She didn't want anything to happen to her 'savior,' so it was something going with her to the grave. Probably.

Then, the other lady spoke up. "Huh?" She was a witch? When did she become one? Haruka arched an eyebrow at the strong lady like she was crazy. She continued to explain, and it was... weird. Haruka had always felt a little different, but was she really something like that? A "Fallen?" Nahhhh, she couldn't be. She couldn't do anything cool. Then she said that Haruka had some sort of 'innate ability.' So this was a manga. She'd be getting whisked away to do some super-secret training or some shit.

Haruka was about to ask why she couldn't just continue on and pretend she didn't have an ability, but Reika was right. Haruka had seen those movies. She'd read those manga. She knew what they'd do. Haruka's expression darkened. "Uh... so I guess I can skip the question of 'can't I just live like I was.' So... what do I need to do? What, is there some sort of super-secret school for people with powers?" Haruka's mind went to a soon-to-be-airing anime, Charlene, which was about a student who developed powers and was sent to a school with other people who had powers. "Or are we going to some secluded island and just have to live there for the rest of our lives?"

Then, Minami introduced herself. It seemed the other lady knew Minami's parent(s). Hephaestus, what was that? Then the other lady introduced herself. Reika... Haruka was trying to think where she had heard the surname 'Reikozuki' from. "I was just on my way home from people-watching." Haruka pointed down the alleyway in the direction she was originally heading down. "This is the shortest way to my street."

"Oh, I'm Haruka Akagawa." Haruka gave a light bow, and then looked to them both. "Okay, so... I'm one of these 'Fallen.' And, like, I'm going to have some sort of power... Um, do you guys expect me to be like some sort of superhero? Like, the whole 'with great power comes great responsibility' spiel? 'Caaaaauuuse I don't think going around saving people is really something I'm cut out for." Haruka's eyes lit up as she looked to them both."And... Do you have any idea what kind of power I'll get? Will I be able to shoot, like, lasers from my eyes or something?!"

Minami was relieved when the girl said she could keep her mouth shut. Made her life easier, especially since she didn't have the guts to do what was necessary for self-preservation, which was remove her from the picture. Minami just backed herself up and let this girl give the explanation. Basic information from Hephaestus. Standard day one information. Yes. Yes. Indeed quite. Then the girl looked to both of them and said in a serious tone they needed to stay hidden. Minami made a pouty face. "I know I know, what do you think the contacts were for?" Seriously, was this girl not eavesdropping at all? The nerve of this girl. "I hate putting them in, if explaining the red eyes to people was easy then I'd have done it." She shook her head and dropped the pouty face. "I..." She sighed slightly. "Have the fighting skill of a 2 headed chicken, and the heads always argue with each other. I had to be...creative to be of any help here." Nope she wasn't happy about it. And she'd probably pout about it for the next 15 minutes...mentally.

Minami didn't pay much mind to the girl's lessons. Only because she had heard them plenty of times before. She listened to this girl ask what she was supposed to do. Not being able to live the way she was before, now THIS Minami knew the answer to. "I heard some people have trouble stopping their powers from going off...you...really don't want them to suddenly manifest and misfire when you're around normal people. Once you can control it...you can usually live a close to normal life if you want. Usually." The only problem was people who have powers who are hypocrites in one way or another, like the green guy. Even if he didn't have power, he had room to gain them. It'd suck for him if he was burned like a witch. "And yes. I mean the academy, not the island." She turned to the other girl as she mentioned that Minami already went to Hephaestus. "Hmm? I'm not surprised you recognize me...sadly. How did you know I go? Honestly the only people I know who really know are...at the academy. Even if they don't know what the academy is, I don't see them bragging about it. They're too busy for it anyway."

The girl introduced herself as Akahana Reikozuki, sounds familiar. Akahana...Hana means flower. This girl was pretty like a flower, to Minami anyway. "You remind me of pretty flowers, can I call you Hana-san?" She said with a painfully sweet smile on her face. Technically Akahana meant Red Rose, which was a flower. Yet this girl apparently didn't want to be called her first name normally, so that was out. Hana wasn't necessarily implied though. Then Hana, yes this is what she was referring to Reika as, at least mentally, even if she said no, then asked what they were doing out here. "Concert!" Minami called out, one hand in the air. The stiffness from her injuries flared up and hurt for a second, causing her to pull back down with an "ow". That is when Haruka, as she introduced herself, said something really funny. Seriously? What did she think this was, a Superman comic? Was she spiderwoman now? Some manga? It was actually funny. When she mentioned the "with great power comes great responsibility" Minami turned to Hana Reika and laughed, hoping she found it just as funny. After she finished all she could say was "Lasers? If you're lucky." She continued to giggle, she was obviously joking but she was in a good mood now.

This entire conversation felt off for Reika. These two had very, very different personalities. Haruka reminded Reika of an American teenager while Minami reminded her of a smart ass anime girl. On one hand we had a newly found Fallen with a habit of 'people watching' and on the other was a outgoing vampire with a habit of sassing back at every chance she got. "Truthfully, it's up to you." Reika spoke up about the life Haruka can choose to live, "Depending on the types of abilities you'll gain, the school might be the best place to be. She's right..." Reika motioned toward Minami, "If your power is super strength, you don't want to suddenly rip off the door to a normal humans car... I would suggest enrolling in the school, and if that is your choice, I can help you with it."

"No." Reika replied to Minami's question about her name with a warning behind her tone, "I already said... Reika." There was a certain amount of respect you should have toward people. Reika and Minami weren't friends and she had already explained what she wanted to be called. If she refused to call her by Reika, it would only prove that Minami was more along the side of immature than anything else. The sass and sarcasm toward those fools was cute. The disrespect would not be thought of as such. When that was over though, Haruka brought up questions about being a superhero. Reika froze and blinked a few times. Once the line 'with great power comes great responsibility', Reika looked toward Minami, smirked, and then busted out laughing for a few moments.

"N-No, no... There's nothing like that...Haha..." Reika wiped a tear of joy from her eye as she calmed down. This was a little ironic since Reika actually did play a similar role to a 'superhero'. Wasn't exactly the same thing, but depending on which view you were at, she could definitely be thought of that way. "It's just a normal school where people like you, Minami and myself could study without the prejudice of humans." It was about then that Reika realized she had ignored one of Minami's questions. She thought about answering it, but that was information she probably shouldn't just hand out. "Well..." Reika took the last drink of her bottle and tossed it toward a nearby trashcan, easily making it in, "Nice to meet you two, but I'm out." She turned away, waving back to them, "Later."

It seemed that Haruka's only choice would be to leave the city. She didn't want to. What Haruka wanted was to stay in the apartment her parents left to her. That small little place was the only thing she had left of them. Leaving it seemed impossible. But she didn't want to suddenly destroy her apartment. Maybe it was time for her to move on. Maybe. Just maybe. "I'll... think about it."

While their conversation continued, they didn't seem to notice a fourth. Hiding behind an electrical box, the last member of the Spiked Legion eavesdropped. Truth be told, he was actually passed out for most of that fight. He had a black eye from a fight with the boss, and he was unsure of what to do now. His beady eyes darted between the three people there. One was a vampire, the other was a badass, and the last... Yeah, it'd have to be her.

"It was nice meeting you, Reika. I'd like to hang out and drink with you when I'm older. You're pretty damn cool." Haruka gave Reika a thumbs-up in approval. "Minami, you said you were enrolled in the school... can you help me get enrolled too, if I choose to, that is." Haruka sighed and leaned up against the electrical box the last member hid behind. "I'm just not sure if I can leave this behind..."

The last member sprung forth from behind the box, a wide knife in his hand. He caught Haruka off-guard and before she knew it, she was a hostage. The knife was at her throat. "Alright, you bitches!" The man called out to the trio that had just wiped the floor with his gang. "Your money, all of it! Put it on the ground. Your clothes too. Yeah. And and try anything funny, and I cut her throat!" His long tongue was practically hanging out of his mouth. He tried to move Haruka backwards, but she didn't move. "Dumb bitch, move!" "Nope."

Pink was caught off-guard. Wait. She wasn't moving? She had a knife to her throat and she wasn't moving. "The fuck is your problem, bitch? I've got a knife to your throat." Haruka shrugged. She had sweat beading down her face, but she was a little confident. "Yeah, you do. But you won't cut my throat." "And why won't I do that?" "Because if you do, then my new friends are going to make you wish you were just stabbed." And what's worse... she was right.

Pink noticed this, and he also noticed a fire escape ladder not too far off the ground. He could get away that way. He withdrew the knife from her throat... and plunged it into her side. "Gyah—!" Haruka fell to the ground, and she noticed something before the blood stained everything. "My.. coat... You tore my coat!" Haruka reached up and grabbed the guy's right leg, preventing him from moving up on the ladder. "YOU STABBED MY COAT!"

Minami's ears twitched. Did she just hear something? She shrugged it off, the power talk was winding down anyway. Though she did feel like she should be careful what was said. When she asked about the nickname, Reika decided that just saying no politely wasn't an option. A tad rude when she was being nice to be honest. She shrunk a bit (metaphorically). "You didn't need to say it like that." There was a certain amount of respect you needed to show people, like asking before you just call them something. She asked, she was polite about it. Thus she sat back and just stayed silent, mostly because she once more had little to add. She pulled out her bow, sticking it in her mouth as she began messing with her hair to fix it. It was a tad out of place. Suddenly though Haruka addressed her, Minami looked up. Speaking through her teeth she spoke up. "One sec." She pulled the bow out and fixed her ponytail up. "Well, I suppose I can try. Not sure I'm the one to ask, though." Haruka though wasn't 100% sure if she wanted to give things up. "I'm the daughter of one of the richest families in Japan, and I still live with them when not at school. Really the trick is hiding it." Her ears twitched again. This time she was sure, and she could even smell him. "We're not alone. I can smell it." She stated. It was less than 5 seconds later that pink made his move.

Suddenly another member of the fashion disasters appeared, grabbing Haruka immediately. "My eyes I'm blind!" Minami shouted, damn his hair was bright. With her improved vision, it ACTUALLY hurt. She didn't know how to properly adjust her night vision, particularly bright colors kinda hurt. He held Haruka at knife point. He demanded that they put their money and clothes on the ground. Wait...their clothes? Clothes...women...clothes...clothes. "Our clothes? PERVERT! HENTAI HENTAI! PERVERT!" She screamed pointing at him! If there was anyone she was undressing for, it was NOT some stranger, and a freak no less. Still she didn't move. She slowly began to pull out her wallet, and as she got it out, Haruka pointed something out. He was fucked if he actually got rid of his bullet monkey. Minami blinked. "You know...she has a point." Minami popped the wallet back into her pocket.

After this things got a little crazy. Suddenly the man plunged the knife into Haruka, deciding to use her as a distraction to escape. Minami gasped. "Ah, ah, ah. Of all times for me not to have a bow!" Suddenly as she said that a bow appeared in her hand. It was a beautiful crystal bow, the ends a beautiful shade of red melding into a gold color at the center. Minami blinked a few times. "Well...that was convenient! Now I just need an arrow!" ...blink blink. Nothing. "An arrow!" Blink blink, nothing. "Oh come on! Seriously? What am I supposed to throw this at him!" She sighed, looking at Reika. "I'll go help Haruka, but if this guy is willing to hold up someone at knife point, I don't think he should just be able to get away without a firm talking to." He ran over to Haruka's side and began checking her.
