The way Genpaku saw it, either bringing all the Captains together to work on this was either the best plan or the worst. Mostly, it depended on whether any of the captains were already being controlled by this theoretical enemy. Granted, this theoretical enemy was beco.ming less so by the moment. What exactly they could do about it was a whole other question that would have be dealt with later. He gave her a small smile when she complimented him.
“Thanks.”
Midori waved the conversation off, changing the subject. She brought the conversation back to Kaminari. She brought up how the others had people watching over them before getting a mischievous grin. Even Genpaku couldn't miss a queue like that, and there might have been some color in his cheeks from the implication. He gave her a glare that was undermined by the fact that Midori had obvious found a way to unbalance him slightly.
“Yes, I think it would be best she stay here actually,” he said, which was likely not the response Midori was expecting given her jest. He took a breath, shaking his head.
“Besides, I think you'd have a better chance of getting Lilith to come to the Fourth Division of her own free will rather than get Kaminari to leave here tonight,” he commented, walking over to the small kitchen.
“You want anything to drink?” he asked over his shoulder.
