Personality: Yua is a little on the shy side. She's good at talking to people once a conversation has been started, but she's not the type that's good at starting a conversation. She'll sit there in silence most of the time. She prefers actions to speak for her when it comes to the more emotional aspects of life. "Thank you" and "I'm sorry" really only get you so far, though she admits they can help in less important situations. Yua usually keeps quiet, but if something is being done wrong or in an unfair manner, she's the one that steps up. She's the type to be elected for school President.

Yua has never been in a relationship before and doesn't even know where she stands when it comes to them. She's very one-track-minded, so her concentration on being a Shinigami left her without many friends, and those she did have weren't that close. And since she's been in the World Of The Living, the only friends she had there were the very few that could see her. She didn't have a gigai throughout all of that time, so she wasn't being seen by most people. She got used to that after a while, but she was very lonely. Beyond that, she was bored. Because of this, Yua has grown anxious.

Yua always has to be doing something. She gets very fidgety and even a little jumpy when things are too quiet or she has nothing to do. Since she's almost always quiet, Yua is usually doing something. Reading, writing, painting, gardening, sewing, and other things that she's not particularly good at can be among them. The best thing Yua knows how to do to keep herself busy is play the guitar. There's nothing moving your hands quicker than rocking out on a guitar. It's one thing she's good at, but hilarious as hell to watch since the music is quite often wild, but she's sorta just... there.

Character Background: Yua died in the World Of The Living and was brought to the Soul Society like millions of other souls. She does not remember her life in the World Of The Living and isn't entirely interested in learning about it. What's the point? Her life in Soul Society was far more interesting during the time she was there. She realized quickly that she had skill with reiryoku and joined Shino Academy. She was excited to become a Shinigami and get out of the horrid Rukongai. Her goal was simple, rise up the ranks and do something about the bad conditions of the Rukongai.

Unfortunately, this was not going to come to pass. After a hundred years into her being a member of the Gotei 13, Yua came across something horrible. Unaware that a silent alarm had already been triggered, she hurried into a building of the 12th Division that was not supposed to be occupied after seeing a dim light flash. She confronted some sort of being, she assumed a Shinigami, but they vanished with a flicker of the light. She hurried over to see what information they had taken and noticed it was the prototype to a type of poison that would be horrible, but not fatal to Shinigami.

Before she was able to dig a little deeper, she was caught looking at sensitive information by a few of the night guards. They attempted to arrest her and refused to listen to what she had to say. In fear for her own life, Yua fought and fled the Seireitei. Before anyone could realize where she was going, Yua fled to The World Of The Living, where it would be hardest to track her. In recent years, she heard about the attack on the Captain Commander and the poison that was used. She knew this was her way back into good graces with the Gotei, so she snuck back in with the intention of clearing her name.

Yua soon discovered that her years of living inside of a Gigai in the World of the Living had heavily impeded her ability to control her reiryoku. She wasn't able to access the shikai that she had learned years ago and couldn't even hear her Zanpakutō. She ended up in a strange situation with a woman named Kei and is now living secretly with her. During the times Kei is gone, Yua meditates for hours on end to try to regain her abilities as a Shinigami. After a horrible incident involving Kei, Yua felt that familiar feeling and heard her Zanpakutō spirit call out to her. Yua's rage brought her back to power.


Unreleased Abilities: Yua was once a pretty powerful Shinigami. Everything stated below are her actual skill levels. She is currently working back up to what her real levels are.

Hohō: Advanced. Yua always thought of Hohō has one of the most important and basic techniques the Shinigami have. It's not just used in combat, but often used in day to day travel inside the Soul Society. With something so widely used, even for mundane action, she made sure to practice it more than any other technique at her disposal. She knows most of the more advanced techniques in this category, but sort of self-trained them so they're not perfect in execution. However, she has mastered shunpo and would be considered advanced with the rest of the Hohō techniques.

Zanjutsu: Expert. Yua has always enjoyed the idea of using a blade. It is something that came naturally to her and zanjutsu was her major at the Academy. She's very skilled in zanjutsu and preferred to use it over training for her shikai for years. Luckily, people pushed her into getting her shikai, but she never faltered on her zanjutsu training, so it remains her best skill.

Kidō: Trained to Adept. She's only practiced Kidō 1-31, so those are the only Kidō she knows much of and she's only decent with them. 1-8 are the Kidō that she is most experienced with.

Hakuda: Trained. Yua would have once been considered a novice at any sort of close combat style. However, through quite a bit of determination, Yua was able to get her skill to a semi-respectable level after training with others. Yua doesn't usually ask someone for help, but she admitted to herself she needed it. Desperate to get better, Yua went out and asked for help with her Hakuda training and over time she was able to hold her own well, but will always prefer fighting with the blade.


Zanpakutō Spirit Appearance: See Bankai Appearance. It's a dragon. Yua has a power and unique connection to her Zanpakutō spirit. They're more friends than anything else, though often act as student and teacher. Yua has never seen her own inner world because her Zanpakutō spirit prefers to manifest itself to her side and not the other way around. It's too trapped in there for them both.

Shikai Name: Minarai no Ryū (The Dragon Apprentice, 見習竜)
Shikai Appearance:

Shikai Abilities: Yua's shikai allows her to take on the aspects of a dragon. The most noticeable change is the color of her eyes. They change from green to the yellow you see in the first image above. The second most noticeable change is of her sword, seen in the second image above.

The rest of the changes are not visually noticeable. The first is her eye sight. She can see twice as far as a person with normal vision. Secondly, Yua gets a number of bonuses to her skill sheet. She gains a +20 to all natural skills and a +30 to Kidō. However, this bonus to Kidō does not increase her knowledge or skill of them. Instead, it increases the amount of damage the Kidō that she uses.

Yua's sword and body radiates enough heat that standing near her can be uncomfortable. She is immune to any heat that is 400 degrees or lower. Any heat or fire damage done to her between 401-600 degrees is decreased to 25%. Any heat or fire damage done to her between 600-1000 degrees is decreased to 50%. Anything above that is decreased to 75%. The sword itself burns at 1000 degrees.

The eye on Yua's Zanpakutō isn't there for show. It actually belongs to her Zanpakutō spirit and allows he Zanpakutō spirit to aid her in battle. The eye has one ability and it can only be used on something that it can see. The eye can send out a wave of extreme heat toward an object or opponent in order to damage or slow it down. It does this on it's own, not on Yua's command since it's not her eye.



Bankai Name: Jikan no Ryū (Time of the Dragon, 時間竜)

Bankai Abilities: With the nature of her Zanpakutō spirit and the relationship they've both worked to gain, Yua's bankai does not get that much bigger for her own sake. The bonuses that she received in her shikai are all tripled, but upon the activation of her bankai, Yua actually summons her Zanpakutō spirit to her side to fight with him. In other words, Yua summons a dragon that's about twice her height and a hell of a lot heavier to fight by her side. The dragon's stats work off of her own stats, including the bankai bonuses, and adds 10 to all but durability, which he adds a total of 30 to.
