Personality: Living life with a kind heart is not the easiest thing to do when everything you fight for is taken away or lost to the wind. The fact that this girl still tries to keep on a smile is impressive with everything that has happened to her. Most people would have gone dark and desperate, but she has somehow stayed somewhat positive in her life and continues to hope for the better. She does this by doing something that everyone does. She sleeps. Chizuru can sleep the days away. The dams holding her stress back have always been strong, but they grow weaker as time passes and her mind becomes more worn. Recent events have kept her asleep through the days. She ends up asleep in her classes, which often gets her in trouble, which only causes her to sleep more. Chizuru sleeps because her mind and heart can't handle everything it's going through and there's no pain while you sleep.

Character Background: Born in the 'higher end' of the Rukongai, Chizuru was put up for adoption and quickly grabbed up by a lesser noble house. From the time she was three-weeks-old until she was seven, she lived as the only child of the Gakusha House and was to be their heir. However, when the people she had come to call Mother and Father had their own child, the tossed her away like yesterdays garbage. In a single week, everything Chizuru had come to know and love had vanished and those she thought cared about her turned their backs and abandoned her without a second thought. With the baby on the way, they didn't need her.

For a few months, Chizuru sat in disbelief, knowing that her parents would come get her. One day, they did. Her Mother had lost the child around the time she was in her second term to carry the child and decided that without an heir, they needed Chizuru back. Unaware of this, Chizuru went home happily and did her best to make her parents happy. They put on the regular smiles and said they loved her until her Mother, once again, became pregnant. Chizuru was filled with dreams of being a big sister and told how she would have to be responsible. It was all the regular stories and joy that parents would try to fill their family with, but it didn't stick.

The moment the baby was born, Chizuru's life took a turn. She stuck around for a year, desperately trying to keep her family loving her, but when they decided that the baby was healthy enough and nothing were to happy, they got rid of her again. This time, she didn't even go to an orphanage. Instead, they dropped her on the outskirts of the far districts of the Rukongai to make sure she never came back. They honestly thought she'd die out there, but she didn't. She was taken in by a large scary man who thought she was too cute to let go. He treated her like a daughter and taught her a few things, bringing her out of the depression she was in.

His true life was hidden from her, but fifty years later she found out that he was a criminal. The Gotei 13 did a raid on their home, and the man she began calling Father (Toranosuke Asakawa), was a thief and extorted women in insane amounts. He admitted that he never wanted her to know and truly cared for her like his daughter, but his crimes were great and he was taken off to prison. Even though he was a horrible person to most people, Chizuru still saw the man who took her in and cared for her. She could not bring herself to hate him. Chizuru has tried to visit him on multiple occasions, but until recently he was not allowed any visitors.

In fact, one of the only reasons Chizuru has joined Shino Academy was to be granted access to seeing her Father. Unfortunately, Chizuru began something she couldn't entirely control. After her Father was taken from her, she began stressing out. She was lonelier than she could explain and crying every night wasn't helping her situation. She began having panic attacks day after day. She had so many that she would leave class suddenly or hide in a closet to avoid people seeing her. She couldn't control her stress at all and people were beginning to notice. To avoid this embarrassment, Chizuru decided the easiest way to deal with it was to sleep.


Unreleased Abilities: For this and every ability stated below, Chizuru is a student. She's barely getting used to anything and because of her sleeping and stress habits, she hadn't been able to do anything to truly get better. It's why she failed her first three years of school and keeps repeating classes. This is the first time she's been in Professor Nakahara's class.
